Ravindra Singh Bhati: An Upcoming Political Figure from Rajasthan

Ravindra Singh Bhati was born on the 30 of January, 1998 in Dudhora village of Barmer district in the state of Rajasthan. He is a Rajput by caste and was born in a rural area of Rajasthan. Bhati Singh’s father, Shaitan Singh Bhati was a school teacher and his mother's home was managed by Ashok Kanwar. His background enabled him to have a strong sense of duty, endurance and cultural pride which shaped his involvement in his culture and politics a lot.

The Beginning of Political Career: The Student Union Elections and Involvement

Bhati began his political career in 2019 as a JNVU student. After recognizing the welfare problems of students who go unnoticed, he decided to run for student body president. The elections that followed witnessed a gradual change in the politics in students' unions, focusing on issues rather than the political party’s loyalty. In addition, during his term, Bhati promoted different measures which were aimed at the betterment of the infrastructure of the University. During COVID crisis colleges increased the fees and after this spike bhati initiated Chhatra Kranti or Student Revolution that spread into 26 districts, leaving about 500,000 students across Rajasthan under the pressure of a protest. He also protests for pensioners. He lobbied for better amenities and assistance towards female students with respect to health education regarding the youth. He also held a successful rally, thus adding to his credibility as a strong supporter of students’ causes.
